Stimulate, Stimulate … Dance to the Pay-Off – Reid and Pelosi – Moonwalking through Congress

Wouldn’t it be a funny comedy sketch. You know … former Marine, but in perceptive actuality, he’s scared of his own shadow. He’s an accomplished strategist by credentials, but in an oxygen rich environment he can’t make change for quarter without a manual. His side-kick is like Annie Oakley. In the big-top, she can peel grape with six-shooter – but on the range … the sound of a coyote has her bawling like child lost in a department store. On camera at a press conference she widens her eyes to flash emphasis about her words – but at dusk along the beltway – her widened eyes flash a reflection of George Bush, Rep. Boehner and her own Steny Hoyer, huddled in the cab of a semi heading right for her as she stands frozen in the middle of the road.

Rolling Stone’s – Matt Taibi has a great article about the Chicken Doves.

Perhaps they thought that by passing the mass pay-off bill – mis-characterized as a stimulus package – we wouldn’t notice that the FISA bill provisions, providing immunity, have metastasized because of their fancy dance steps in the dark corners of the gymnasium. Not to mention, the sheer stupidity of the Stimulus package. Of course if we continue to elect otherwise unemployable characters to be our leaders – we probably deserve what we get.

It is quite possible, that we are in fact and deed, just as stupid as they believe us to be. Indeed, they are as stupid as many of us believe them to be. They bit. GWB handed them this opportunity to further deepen the indebtedness of our treasury and these caricature Democrats bit on it with the same enthusiasm as my now deceased pal Mickey, an enormous Golden Retriever, when I would entice him with a tug-toy.

There is one exception though. Mickey knew the difference between my arm and tug-toy. We often played without the toy and he had great fun but never, never, even accidentally, hurt me with his teeth. He always knew. He had instincts, it seemed he could reason. He would bark at danger – not run for a tennis ball … like Majority Leader – Sen. Dumb and Speaker, Rep. Dumberer.

Well, Mickey isn’t with us any longer or I would run him against Nancy Pelosi in her upcoming election. At the very least, he was a better American in my view and I would promote him as a write-in. He was alert, attentive and never soiled our home. But most of all … no one could make a perceptibly threatening move toward me wthout immediately becoming aware of his watchful eye. I’ve yet to experience that kind of satisfaction with our beloved Fred and Ginger dancing in the mine field. If it were only themselves they are blowing up … I wouldn’t be complaining.

The Bush Administration, in one singularly efficient move, got the knee-jerk about face they wanted and gave Democratic leaders an opportunity to jump through a hoop to give away money. Watch how this one comes back to bite them in OUR collective butts. Quite often I feel as though I’m watching a vaudeville act with the rube continually getting pantsed. You know … distracted … then he finds his pants around his ankles.

The alleged Stimulus package is a pay-off. It is stupid. There is no economic theory in existence that would encourage this act of political bribery en masse. They have permitted the President to spend money like a drunken sailor – and they just supplied a bordello. We do get this right?? We do understand that we have to pay this money back at approximately 150 percent interest … right ???

  1. According to the demographics, I should be voting for Hillary Clinton: I’m a white, 60-year-old, highly educated woman from the Northeast. But I’m voting for Obama. I’ve waited all my life for a viable woman candidate for the presidency, but this is not the right woman. I want a woman of the highest ability and virtue, who would serve as a glorious role model to all young women. Hillary Clinton is not that woman.
She rode into power with her husband, and together they’ve acquired a long and seriously flawed history of self-serving and secretive financial and political dealings. The most cursory research will prove that true. She started out her political life supporting the racist Barry Goldwater. She is as comfortable with deception and trickery as George Bush. When I hear woman saying, “Oh, but that’s how you get things done in Washington,” I literally cringe.
I am passionately supporting Barack Obama. He can beat the Republicans; she cannot. Obama has attracted Independents and even Republicans to his camp, and in a general election they would vote for him, but not for Clinton. Clinton voted for the war, and has never apologized for it. Obama has spoken out against it from the beginning. Obama brings us hope–and not just that. Take a serious look at his ideas and experience.
Please, I beg of you, Sisters young and old: wait for the right woman. Then we can be proud.

  2. Funny. I was going to write the same article myself but you beat me to it. And I was going to ask the same question, “are we really that stupid”?

Well, apparently here’s the answer to the question:

Yes, the majority is stupid, and unfortunately they also vote.

  3. This unfortunately … is the will of the people. Now this is edited because many of these people aren’t completely as uninformed as a pop-quiz on the sidewalk would reveal. But what is most revealing is that the world community regards the US as fat stupid bullies, when we’re really just fat and stupid.
