Is Prostitution Prosecutor being Persecuted ?

“… he did knowingly transport and hire the hooker … “

Spitzer swearing inNot a full day has passed before the story seems to already have gotten thrown off (or perhaps ‘on’) the rails. We think that the countermeasures were predictable. There is an article at Raw Story that is more revealing, but not convincing. In brief, the story suggests that Scott Horton, NY Attorney and Harper’s contributor believes Gov. Spitzer was set up. We think Raw Story just wanted to scoop because they didn’t even use Horton’s first name in the article. Right there was a tip-off.

Secondly and maybe even more revealing, the article features a picture of Horton, not Spitzer. We think that this is more revealing about the purpose of the original article as a way to self promote Horton than to point to any definable plot against Spitzer. After all … he did knowingly transport and hire the hooker, no ? He did confess to having, at least, disappointed his family and State, no ? But to listen to Horton’s suggestion, he thinks Spitzer should be invoking the ‘Shaggy’ defense “It Wasn’t Me!” We think Horton’s premise is a self-aggrandizing attempt to throw his name in the political spotlight.

Sad But True

“… didn’t require the skill of Sherlock Holmes …”

As for the original report by Brian Ross at ABC, it was a good and the many other reportsHolmes have made it clear that Spitzer was the object of the investigation and that suspicious money transfers were the original object of the investigation. It is not difficult to understand, certainly for a crime fighting prosecutor, that criminal investigations are a continuous set of theories that lead professionals in various directions. It doesn’t matter whether its a U.S. Attorney or Daschell Hammett – everyone with a pulse over the age of 12 pretty much understands this global reality. This didn’t require the skill of Sherlock Holmes to uncover. Perhaps he and his wife have an understanding. No doubt they do now.

At the Speed of Might

“… paranoia would have served him as a better mistress.”

We think it highly likely that Spitzer has made an enormous cast of enemies in his rise to power. He has been noted for a fierce fighting style and he has been quoted by a list of Msters Bookdetractors – having made direct threats about prosecuting prominent evil-doers. We think paranoia would have served him as a better mistress. In an instant, the Eliot Spitzer has become a household name that will likely be the new “Hypocrite” for a time.

While Spitzer would have to prefer being defined by his successes, as he is portrayed in a highly flattering Eliot Ness-ish portrayal of an avuncular crime fighter in Brooke Masters’ book: Spoiling for a Fight – The Rise of Eliot Spitzer; we are loathe to think of the next books that will sum up the corporate rocking Governor Spitzer because he, essentially, cheated on his wife and hired very expensive hookers.

The Political Process Will Pay the Price

“… everyone’s vision will be obscured by the political food fight.”

Make no mistake about it, allegations will fly – novels will be written and a few fortunes made over Eliot Spitzer’s indiscretions and quite possibly, crimes. It’s the very fuel the that keeps the lights burning so that as we stare at the fire – Washington insiders are busy shredding the Constitution. He’s a Democrat and before long some bloated Right Wing hate monger is going to reveal that he once dated Hillary and before long the Left will respond and everyone’s vision will be obscured by the political food fight.

So Eliot Spitzer’s romp was more than just a whipped cream and a trip on Amtrak. This was a harpoon to Democratic Politics and a further leg-up to the neo-cons, who have hijacked the Republican Party and replaced it with politicians – the likes of highly offensive and disturbing Rep. Steven King of Iowa, or Rep. Jack Kingston of GA, two of the House’s most blatant graffiti artists, who will, most assuredly, tie this into Barack Obama’s middle name.

Campaigns are Presidential Auditions – McCain Struggling

It was an unscheduled quick stop for the Bill Clinton campaign.  Cellphone service was terrible and the quick bathroom break for the bus occupants and the 20 minutes of rapid exchanges on pay phones would suit nicely as the traveling press was otherwise cut-off.  As the traveling team assembled the name Jennifer Flowers began circulating the stale air of the bus.  By the time cell service was available, everyone on the bus knew what everyone else knew and in what appeared to be a riot – reporters fought to get  information to their editors.

Not much time passed before there was a news wave worthy of a surfing competition; and, not long after that Bill Clinton’s denials had won over evidence.  There was no doubt in any ones mind that Clinton had engaged Flowers, but the Flowers promoters were not handling their end very well and the relationship appeared to be more of a professional engagement than it did an affair of the heart.  An apology to Mario Cuomo by Clinton was delivered because of a disparaging remark Clinton made on one of the tapes that Flowers secretly recorded of their phone calls as Rush Limbaugh became a household word badgering Clinton by playing the tapes on a loop.

Why the story?  Simple. This was a Presidential campaign that was led with extraordinary leadership  While the dynamics of the team may have been closer to tobacco auction with James Carville’s Tommy Gun Talking with Bayou Bullets – there is no doubt that Bill Clinton was calm, cool and collected.  He was all that one would expect of a world leader.  Calm, collected, thoughtful and nearly immune to shame.  While Clinton may have misplaced some requisite humility, it was clear to many Americans that anyone who could run a campaign with the hired guns of the media ground force pummeling him, as Limbaugh did daily, he was a natural leader.  His propensity for womanizing seemed to be more palatable to voters than four more years of the testosterone challenged George H. W. Bush, who ultimately managed to lose an election after winning a war, which sent bookies in Ireland reeling.  Perhaps the nation was tired of being talked to as though they were children by someone who they knew couldn’t give rat’s ass about their circumstances, and did it sounding like Mr. Rogers

Now fast forward to end of the Clinton Presidency – George W. Bush is in contention for the Republican Nomination – the Democratic convention is strictly pro forma, Gore is the de  facto nominee.  The neoconservative movement has become emboldened with each failed Clinton scandal.  Flowers, Jones, White-water, Vince Foster’s suicide – while ignoring some important facts – budget balanced, budget surplus (although is a total BS accounting term that means we actually owe less), unemployment down and every military engagement on Clinton’s watch was brief and successful.  The conflict in eight state-nations formerly known as Yugoslavia was brought to the beginning of an end.  Africa is still a distant drum, but even the political parisans are not going to challenge Clinton for limited or non-engagement.  The Clinton score sheet is excellent, NAFTA and Don’t Ask Don’t Tell hadn’t yet been rejected by the body politique as abysmal failures.

George W Bush comes out swinging, in fact, quite impressive.  He mows down his opponents and makes a rag doll out of John McCain.  This same John McCain, hero, maverick, but, there was not enough distance between the Keating 5 scandal and McCain yet.  The accusations of McCain fathering a black child, were merely a warning – the neocons were going to have him for lunch – and they did.  Meanwhile, back at the phony ranch of the Connecticut Prep school and Yale educated Howdy Doody of presidents – it wasn’t George Bush’s impressive leadership that out stepped McCain – it was McCain’s campaign and leadership skills in 2000. The fact that he didn’t actually win the election is another matter.

McCain’s lack of focus wasn’t apparent when he was told his dream of furthering the family legacy of his father and grandfather would not come to pass and that he would not be considered again for Flag rank in the Navy.  Decisively, he rowed the lifeboat to Arizona and immediately cashed in his chips and was all but handed a Congressional seat in the US House.  More public service and a new career.  What could be more admirable.  It was, he was. Irrespective of his politics or changing views he was effective.

But in the campaign against George W. Bush, the neocons were pushing their agenda and McCain was no neocon.  Not that he wouldn’t drink their scotch and smoke their cigars, but he wasn’t going to join their club.  He didn’t see the reason to do it – he had powerful group of supporters, although not any longer the compassionate Goldwater Republicans, they were Republican’s.  The insidious influence of Richard Perle, William Krystol and the “think tanks” they touted hadn’t yet coursed through all the arteries of the Republican Party until George W. Bush, day-dreaming of his legacy, propped the door open for them like an unconscious drunk on a bender.

McCain in 2000 though, brandished his expertise, and no one challenged that; after all, half the people in his gunsights had tickets to Canada ready while he was doing time in the Hanoi Hilton.  But even McCain’s patriotism and prisoner of war scars were no match for the Joe Six-pack crowd and the Bush jingoistic gymnastics.  A most baffling anomaly – John McCain, son of an Admiral, a former prisoner-of-war and decorated Viet Nam Vet, married to the Chairman of the largest Budweiser distributorship in the country – loses the nomination to the son of a President, delinquent Air Guardsman whom red-necks favored 4-1 for best drinking buddy.

They say you can’t teach old dogs new tricks, but that may not be true, although they may not learn them well.  John McCain lacks more skill now than when he was thrown out of the ring by Bush.  He adopted new tricks to compensate, hired the a cadre of impressive lobbyists (a force with whom McCain casually cavorts) and by the time the Republican National Committee realized that their own candidate was accidentally going to be McCain – they brought all the fireworks and operatives that created the Bush presidency to McCain, Rove included.  Under McCain’s own leadership, he is essentially no match for the Obama organizational style in a fair fight.  To his detriment he has taken to lying.  Not the political overstatement or understatement that many are comfortable with, but rather, outright lies. More lies (2 videos).

While style is only an element of candidates campaign / leadership skill, it is abundantly clear that John McCain has a propensity for the unusual and that his campaign is more about marketing than governance.  What else could explain the pick of Sarah Palin as VP.  The obvious fact that she is a woman and considerably younger than McCain in order to deflect voter’s fears of McCain’s age were a marketing decision by his campaign seems to be imploding.  With more reversals than a high school foot-ball game, McCain’s weak grasp on economics and cadre of banker-advisers that  are reminiscent of a  Washington Mutual television ad, speaks volumes.   The McCain’s foolish move on Monday of airing a commercial trying to fix blame on the economic leadership of Obama was intolerable and dishonorable, much as we fear the disease inside the McCain campaign has metastasized and the audition is not going very well.

Clinton Camp Talking with Hostage Negotiators

Delegates, We Don’t Need No Stink’n Delegates

Hillary lawyering machine … pariah status exceeding the radioactive half-life of plutonium.

The interesting thing about being drunk, whether it’s from alcohol or power, it is always trademarked with glimpses of ones true personality.  At least, that’s been my observation.  It is our opinion, the Clinton leadership is now holding the process hostage in a most predictable manner.  in doing so, they are trying to create one last distraction in which to threaten harm to Obama’s presumed victory, the single most effective tool of the Clinton campaign, which has further distinguished themselves with their penchant for negativity.

We offer that while this article is being written, the Hillary camp is threatening continuing all the way to the convention, hammering Obama, unless she’s offered the VP slot and right quick, in a deal that would further call into question the propriety of the Democratic Party.  We further contend that the Hillary lawyering machine is passing enough threats to almost guarantee pariah status exceeding the radioactive half-life of plutonium.

Reality Check – Prediction

… should he be caught on tape robbing a convenience store later this summer.

The screaming woman at the DNC Rules Committee Hearing, notwithstanding, there is a growing Democratic constituency that is beginning to embrace a Democratic future that is Clinton free.  For many it is an unprecedented change of heart, however the candidate is going to take the heat for the Ickes, McAuliffe’s, Wolfson’s and Penn’s, very ‘Bush White House’ inspired antics.  Even her most ardent supporters have confided in us that they are beginning to feel a bit abused.  While no one wants to see their hard earned campaign contributions go up in smoke, the Legacy of the Clinton campaign is less about inspiration and more about fiction.

After a day of teasing the public in a last ditch attempt to shake the trees and see if there is more support for her … the Clinton campaign will release the hostages and using language that will further be distinguished by its dis-clarity – put the Clinton campaign in neutral and set the parking brake.  This will include offering conciliatory but not irreversible endorsement of Obama, should he be caught on tape robbing a convenience store later this summer.

Obama Campaign : Harold Ickes KO’s Clinton

Don Fowler, a highly respected Democratic Party elder and vociferous Hillary supporter, concluded his day Saturday by stating he would abide to accept the decision of the committee even though the manner in which the Michigan and Florida delegates would be seated at the convention was not one that, he felt favored his candidate.  Earlier in the proceedings he defended the Clinton proposal which did not include compromise.  He concluded, however,  in a gracious and dignified manner, indicating the importance of party unity in electing a Democrat to the White House, and explaining why he voted in favor of the compromise.

In stark contrast, immediately following Fowler Harold Ickes calmly pelted the entire Delegate Committee with an insulting tone and the poor manners that has become synonymous with all things Clinton in the last few months.  An incredible display of hubris and ill-mannered discourse his rude display was not offered in the tone of contention that one might expect in circumstances of the current delegate debacle, but rather intoned with bitterness that one generally equates with losing equity investors in the great crash of 1929.

His ill tempered rebuke was not only evident in his words but also in the condescending hand gestures that trade-marked his tirade as he expressed contempt for the Democratic National Committee and their decision.  He concluded by intimating that party unity would not be had by the Committee’s decision despite the pledge of all participants to abide by the decision reached today.

He further, made personal references to a conversations with Don Fowler the evening before, suggesting the lack of wine during the days discussions may have encouraged the compromise.  It was cheap, insulting and a disgraceful final act for Ickes, further highlighted by his use of crude expressions in his final barrage. It is likely the last time that Ickes name will be relevant in Democratic politics.

He concluded by reminding the Committee that Mrs. Clinton had directed him to inform the Committee that she reserved the right to take her fight to the DNC Credentials Committee.

It is clear from the corporate news coverage, Internet news coverage and the blogosphere, that Harold Ickes performance today did more to push delegates to declare on behalf of Barack Obama than if he had been dignified in his demeanor and saved the pedantic lecture for the Clinton operators that continually interrupted the proceedings.

While it was understandable that there would be high spirited discussions and impassioned arguments to be heard from supporters of both Clinton and Obama, it was Harold Ickes that introduced a tone and timbre to the event that had the most aggressive Hillary supporters adopting a conciliatory posture at the events close, acknowledging that Obama will be the centerpiece of the Democratic Party engaging Republicans in November.

Obama: Brand Consistent

Singular Temperament

more revealing of their own lack of discernment and lust for blood-sport.

As a study in leadership, the Obama campaign has been a stunning example of effective leadership and dedicated team building.  This may have as much to do with those creating the message, as it does with those carrying the message.  Supporters, most visibly consisting of the broadest representation of Democrats and Independents, is demonstrably different in composition than the opposing Clinton campaign, and this is repeatedly evident in the arguments between the campaigns,  and the manner in which the respective groups entreaty the electorate.

The Clinton team had routinely been very aggressive and media savvy in packaging and executing each argument, often optioning media opportunities to preview potential major assaults and empowering those that fared well.  The high priced marketing gurus of the Clinton campaign would then, apply resources to arguments that fared well in their crafty focus group approach.  Since the myriad of info-tainment channels are clamoring for content – the campaign professionals would have been remiss to not capitalize on opportunities.  However, after a series of missteps by Senator Clinton, those media opportunities became the testing ground for plausible defences instead of a potential glimpses of policy and values initiatives.

Conversely, the Obama campaign has not altered its strategies, however, it is duly noted that tactically, they have maneuvered the campaign in such a way as to control their own message by not operating from the defensive posture.  In fact, the campaign has demonstrated a patience via a confident pause, which almost without fail, has permitted its attackers to bloody themselves by not protecting themselves from the ricochet of their own dangerous assertions.

Often this patience has been misinterpreted by the corporate media as not effective.  Calls from the info-tainment glitterati and political pundits alike for Obama to hit back and hit hard – have been wide off the mark. Although, to date, not one of the millionaire club of broadcasters has admitted that their poor assessment of Obama’s strategy was more revealing of their own lack of discernment and lust for blood-sport.

Hope Springs Eternal

Geraldine Ferraro began to talk so much, no one wanted to hear her anymore and everyone was encouraging her to seek counseling

The message of hope from the Obama campaign, was never cavalierly tossed about as the Clinton Campaign asserted.  Again, Hillary Clinton, in a show of hubris and frustration, mocked Obama’s message of hope; yet, the single most devastating blow to Clinton, was delivered by her own words as the public, press and youth rejected her argument, chastised her and punished her campaign for the sophomoric and sarcastic speech in which she mocked not only the Obama message, but the sentiments of millions of voters that believe that his message is precisely what is missing from the political landscape.

While Hillary may have had a few seconds of immediate gratification from her animated assault on hope… she paid a heavy price, since shortly thereafter, a number of prominent figures declared for Obama, directly attributing their timing as expressive of their belief that Senator Clinton had convinced them that Obama was the only choice. Further evidenced by the Clinton campaign, again changing its message, reapplying ‘Change’ throughout the campaign and distancing itself from their own assault on Obama.

The Clinton campaign, expensively staffed with marketing magnates, political warfare strategists and Democratic party dinosaurs struggles to maintain a degree of power and relevance even though their politics is obsolete and partly responsible for our present demise.   Geraldine Ferraro, a perfect example of the Clinton dinosaurs, took any opportunity to speak on a myriad of TV news outlets in order to promote her own brand and further call into question Hillary Clinton’s leadership and campaign message.

The pundits, with fingers crossed, tossing hands of coins into fountains and wishing-wells, didn’t get their wish. Obama would not take the bait.  He would not be foolish enough to engage.  By simply exercising a little patience, just like her candidate – Geraldine Ferraro began to talk so much, no one wanted to hear her anymore and everyone was encouraging her to seek counseling, since her conclusions and assertions betrayed any facade of mental health she had previously enjoyed.

A Positive Mentality

They seldom overreact, they seldom express contentious issues with contentious language.

The singular most damaging mistake Obama opponents have made is confusing a positive message with a positive mentality.  It is flaw in critical thinking that further distinguishes the candidates and their respective teams.  The differences are stunning.

The Clinton team has given every indication that they essentially have no plan to win the nomination other than encouraging their supporters to be anti-Obama, asserting that the Obama campaign has called for her to step down.  While this may create enough distracting buzz, it is not without permanent damage to the party and to herself politically.

Conversely, Obama’s team consistently delivers an upbeat message.  They are focused on the Republican Party opposition and apparently trust the DNC to solve the MI and FL debate, which includes Obama representation.  They have managed to keep the issues separate and distinct from matters of governance, public policy and international relations.  Moreover, they have avoiding conflating political issues with public policy issues, another overwhelming shortcoming of Clinton’s leadership.

However, most clearly, the Obama team practices a mature methodology that minimizes negativity by expressing thoughts in a positive manner.  It is evidenced in the language of the campaign, in the demeanor of the campaigners and in the words of Obama.  The messages put out by the Obama campaign and the results of that message were not a secret.  The campaign has trained quite openly.  They seldom overreact, they seldom express contentious issues with contentious language.  They always react in a predictable manner that  apparently continues to frustrate his detractors and win over more supporters.

Hillary Clinton : The Other Shoe

The Gaffe Heard ‘Round the World

“… a revealing flaw in thinking and a discouraging glimpse of desperation that is stunning …”

We have stated from the very beginning, that Hillary Clinton did not possess the communications skills that are generally associated with the Presidency.  That being said – after nearly eight years of suffering through the in-artful repertoire of George Bush’s spoonerisms, malapropisms, dangerously dangling participles and other weapons of etymological destruction – our criticism of Hillary must have seemed harsh, particularly to her supporters.  While it is not the happiest of observations it is borne out repeatedly – oddly enough – by all things, her own words.  There is no Mayhill Fowler, alleged citizen reporter, with hidden microphone to take the word “bitter” out of context, or a cadre of Watergate plumbers bugging the Clinton bathroom – the words that have harmed Hillary Clinton have all been said – not once – but repeatedly – so they aren’t generally ‘mis-speaks.’  They are mis-thinks, mis-planning, mis-scripting, mis-strategy and mis-tactics, which all goes leadership.  So it is our observation, that communications “chops” are pretty much an indication of leadership “chops” and in plain jazz terms – Hillary couldn’t find the back beat in a Spiritual.

The first paragraph opened with the term communication skills, and with all due respect, they are reflective of what one thinks and how one thinks – and – can be more revealing as to a weakness in conceptual thinking.   These skills are also reflective of what one hears and how one reacts to what they have heard.  And lastly it is reflective of simultaneously speaking, listening and improving ones message. If one doesn’t possess them, they tend to lean more on cadences than substance.  They tend to try to manipulate with the timbre of their speech rather than the value of their message.   When one completes a sentence of which they have overtly flirted for three months in various press venues – this is not a misspeak.  This is a revealing flaw in thinking and a discouraging glimpse of desperation that is stunning even to the most seasoned political voyeur.  It was very sad that she invoked the murder of Robert F. Kennedy, in order to draw the conclusion that anything is possible.

Be Careful for What You Wish

“… the Obama campaign that has NEVER encouraged Hillary Clinton to withdraw – not even in abstract citing the greater party operation.  She repeated the lie again last night.”

The fact that the Camp Hillary has been waiting, hoping … perhaps even praying … for Senator Obama to make a tragic mistake in his campaign is no secret.  In fact, the Clinton operatives have caused a few flaps in trying to create one of two for the Senator from Illinois, when he hasn’t been cooperative to do it himself.  It reminds us of old slap-stick comedies, in which the apparent stooge always steps out of the trouble at the last minute, despite the antagonist’s seemingly flawless plan.   For instance just as he’s positioned over the trap door, a gust of wind from an opening door blows the intended victims hat to the floor- when the hat is retrieved, the villain is unaware that he’s actually now standing over the trap door that he had originally lured his victim.  A second later, the villain utters the cue to his accomplice below to trigger the trap door and presto – the villain is plunged into his own pot of tar beneath the stage.  In a previous articled we made a reference to the Clinton Campaign’s likeness to Wile E. Coyote in the Road-Runner cartoons.

Every news outlet, regardless of pedigree, has reported that the Clinton campaign was hopeful that Obama would provide the necessary drama with anything – from a last minute mistress scandal, more unseen tapes of  Rev. Wright, or perhaps even another US enemy endorsing Obama – yet team Obama has been uncooperative.  They have also been uncooperative in attacking Hillary.  They have not seized on the opportunity and ALL leadership in the Obama campaign, no matter how provoked, would NOT personally attack Hillary for her incredibly stupid, insensitive and revealing comment.  Even though Hillary has plainly lied in her interview with the ARGUS, by suggesting that the Obama campaign had called for her to quit, the Obama campaign would not attack her.   The Obama campaign has never called for Hillary Clinton to leave the race – in fact – they have been vociferous to the contrary.  There is not one quote of Obama or the Obama campaign that has EVER encouraged Hillary Clinton to withdraw – not even in abstract citing the greater party operation.  She repeated the lie again last night.  This appears to be Hillary’s ‘Dukakis Moment’, inasmuch as it’s the sound of the other shoe dropping.

Our Summary

We find it difficult to understand why the corporate media with few exceptions, has reported on the distinction between the Obama, McCain and Clinton campaigns.   While it seems that the presidency is the Nation’s if not the World’s most important management job – wouldn’t the manner in which a campaign has operated, both from a team building excercise to a fiscal responsiblity be a glimpse of the potential leader???

“Doesn’t show up for GI Bill vote .”

The McCain Campaign has been plagued by legal and Constitutional issues.  Everything from possible Federal Election Committee violations to McCain’s own possible manipulation of the FEC board in order to avail himself of additional unrecorded contributions via wife Cindy’s Airplane, not to mention 58 lobbyists still residing on his campaign team.  McCain, noted for his involvement as one of the Keating 5 in the famous banking debacle, selected as his Economy advisor, former Senator Phil Gramm, one of the architects of the current mortgage disaster and current Vice- Chair of the McCain campaign.  McCain’s judgment in courting small ‘c’ christian organizations has been rather revealing of the disingenious nature of McCain and his team, and their approach to using the religious fanatics, not unlike the president that endorsed his candidacy.  McCain is little more than the Republican stooge because the others were happy to drop out after realizing that the chances of Repbulicans winning in 2008 were very slim.  McCain is deluded into believing that he’s the choice – he’s the stooge. Campaign in fiancial distress – Message changed – 5 senior staffers terminatied (lobbyists) – Doesn’t show up for GI Bill vote .

“She has just lost any opportuntiy to be VP as well.”

The Clinton campaign, no stranger to lobbyists, in severe financial distress, whereby the candidate has loaned her own election campaign 11 million dollars and possibly more when the next campaign documentation is prepared.  She has lost more net delegates in the two days than she picked up in the last month.  She has been called on more than dozen times to edify comments that were either untrue or distorted emanating from her campaign leadership and she has had more than a handful of lobbyist issues to deal with, including the fact that her campaign strategist ‘Penn’ is a busines partner of John McCains campaign strategist ‘Black’.   Even to the point that Terry McAuliffe and Clinton have begun a rather curious repartee with Fox News and Karl Rove.  Very curious indeed.  The Right Wing and the Extreme Right Wing are panicked over an Obama presidency, because it is likely to inspire much more local political visiblity and activity a local level.   This is not good news for the Right.  They began to campaign for Hillary. She acceepted their support – openly and knowlingly.  She is desparate.  She has just lost any opportuntiy to be VP as well.

“… majority of the Nation’s youth are solidly and actively behind Obama’s message …”

The Obama Campaign has been shelled since its inception  – by both Republicans and Hillary.  The Obama campaign has not changed their message.  They have grown exponentially, despite public attacks by Clinton operatives.  They are not in debt, and they get healthier every day.  The majority of the Nation’s youth are solidly and actively behind Obama’s message, the clear leader.

Camp Hillary: That was Then – This is Now – Update – Video Added

– San Jose California, The Almost Daily Binx -13 May 2008; by Binx101;

Terry McAuliffe – Political Yahtzee

We picture his morning excercise to include fifteen minutes of “You lookin’ at me ??”

In moves of desperation, seasoned with some B-movie theatrics, the Hillary Clinton Campaign is looking for a political do-over.  This is accomplished by ignoring reality and floating out the possibility of Barack Obama having a ‘Bill O’Reilly’ moment in public melt-down, beating his children while robbing a bank. Now, bring out a holiday post-meal favorite – Yahtzee !!!  Of course if this analogy were to be a bit more complete … it would include the fact that in this case – there’s been no meal.  Just Yahtzee.

And what Yahtzee it is … as everyone watches … the HRC team rolls ones, but fills in sixes; then they roll twos and fill in fives. But the fun part is, everyone is watching.  Directly to the point – we believe Terry McAuliffe has a life altering bonus at stake – and has decided that his prize is more important than acknowledging the truth, doing the right thing or the entire health of the Democratic Party.  We don’t know what it is, but his once pleasant smiling face has been replaced with gambler’s worried look and an aspiring mobster’s glare.  We picture his morning exercise to include fifteen minutes of “You lookin’ at me ?? Eh? You lookin’ at me???” in a spittle covered mirror.

Going for Broke – The Next Career?

“… collective of policies of the Hillary Clinton campaign should be of grave concern to supporters and precursor to the high likelihood of this behavior carrying on into a Clinton presidency.”

But the real meat on the bone – is the fact that Terry McAuliffe, seems to be unfamiliar with his own words (cick-here), (as head of the Democratic National Committee) sternly warning Michigan that there delegates would not be ‘seated’ under any circumstances, if they attempted to move up their primary and violate the rules, four years ago.  In fact, these were not just words, but rather they were threats, to Senator Carl Levin (D-MI.) McAuliffe seems to ignore reality when confronted with his own unwavering position and continues speaking as though he didn’t hear, read – or -in fact write his own contradiction to his current position on behalf of Hillary.

We’re not quite sure what the potential upside is for McAuliffe, but we feel safe to assume that the prize for his public self-destruction and career suicide is a stream of Murdoch book deals and a five year contract with FOX News.  A company, by the way that McAuliffe has been publicly praising and courting, in another mind-boggling reversal of attitude.  In addition, we feel that this “kitchen sink” and “anything goes” collective of policies of the Hillary Clinton campaign should be of grave concern to supporters and precursor to the high likelihood of this behavior carrying on into a Clinton presidency.

The Resilience of Wile E. Coyote

“… an Obama presidency would serve to unravel the very network of corrupt Democratic politics that has shielded many …”

Any fan of the Road-Runner cartoons remembers two things.  The Road-Runner always wins, and Wile E. Coyote never quits.  It doesn’t matter what the cost, what the danger or the obvious reality. The coyote is driven beyond the realm of reality, beyond the limits of physical abuse and beyond the limits of any public good … covering roads with debris, causing mine shafts to collapse … and sending missiles in the air with a disregard for when they miss their target.

While McAuliffe, is clearly auditioning for his next job, although it is highly unlikely it will be in Democratic politics, Hillary has passed up the opportunity to make a difference in any form in future, because of the tenor of her campaign and the obvious refusal to acquiesce to the inspirational candidate, the youthful candidate and the non-collateralized candidate.  Of course the danger to Clinton, is that an Obama presidency would serve to unravel the very network of corrupt Democratic politics that has shielded many of the dinosaurs from public scrutiny.
