Obama: Brand Consistent

Singular Temperament

more revealing of their own lack of discernment and lust for blood-sport.

As a study in leadership, the Obama campaign has been a stunning example of effective leadership and dedicated team building.  This may have as much to do with those creating the message, as it does with those carrying the message.  Supporters, most visibly consisting of the broadest representation of Democrats and Independents, is demonstrably different in composition than the opposing Clinton campaign, and this is repeatedly evident in the arguments between the campaigns,  and the manner in which the respective groups entreaty the electorate.

The Clinton team had routinely been very aggressive and media savvy in packaging and executing each argument, often optioning media opportunities to preview potential major assaults and empowering those that fared well.  The high priced marketing gurus of the Clinton campaign would then, apply resources to arguments that fared well in their crafty focus group approach.  Since the myriad of info-tainment channels are clamoring for content – the campaign professionals would have been remiss to not capitalize on opportunities.  However, after a series of missteps by Senator Clinton, those media opportunities became the testing ground for plausible defences instead of a potential glimpses of policy and values initiatives.

Conversely, the Obama campaign has not altered its strategies, however, it is duly noted that tactically, they have maneuvered the campaign in such a way as to control their own message by not operating from the defensive posture.  In fact, the campaign has demonstrated a patience via a confident pause, which almost without fail, has permitted its attackers to bloody themselves by not protecting themselves from the ricochet of their own dangerous assertions.

Often this patience has been misinterpreted by the corporate media as not effective.  Calls from the info-tainment glitterati and political pundits alike for Obama to hit back and hit hard – have been wide off the mark. Although, to date, not one of the millionaire club of broadcasters has admitted that their poor assessment of Obama’s strategy was more revealing of their own lack of discernment and lust for blood-sport.

Hope Springs Eternal

Geraldine Ferraro began to talk so much, no one wanted to hear her anymore and everyone was encouraging her to seek counseling

The message of hope from the Obama campaign, was never cavalierly tossed about as the Clinton Campaign asserted.  Again, Hillary Clinton, in a show of hubris and frustration, mocked Obama’s message of hope; yet, the single most devastating blow to Clinton, was delivered by her own words as the public, press and youth rejected her argument, chastised her and punished her campaign for the sophomoric and sarcastic speech in which she mocked not only the Obama message, but the sentiments of millions of voters that believe that his message is precisely what is missing from the political landscape.

While Hillary may have had a few seconds of immediate gratification from her animated assault on hope… she paid a heavy price, since shortly thereafter, a number of prominent figures declared for Obama, directly attributing their timing as expressive of their belief that Senator Clinton had convinced them that Obama was the only choice. Further evidenced by the Clinton campaign, again changing its message, reapplying ‘Change’ throughout the campaign and distancing itself from their own assault on Obama.

The Clinton campaign, expensively staffed with marketing magnates, political warfare strategists and Democratic party dinosaurs struggles to maintain a degree of power and relevance even though their politics is obsolete and partly responsible for our present demise.   Geraldine Ferraro, a perfect example of the Clinton dinosaurs, took any opportunity to speak on a myriad of TV news outlets in order to promote her own brand and further call into question Hillary Clinton’s leadership and campaign message.

The pundits, with fingers crossed, tossing hands of coins into fountains and wishing-wells, didn’t get their wish. Obama would not take the bait.  He would not be foolish enough to engage.  By simply exercising a little patience, just like her candidate – Geraldine Ferraro began to talk so much, no one wanted to hear her anymore and everyone was encouraging her to seek counseling, since her conclusions and assertions betrayed any facade of mental health she had previously enjoyed.

A Positive Mentality

They seldom overreact, they seldom express contentious issues with contentious language.

The singular most damaging mistake Obama opponents have made is confusing a positive message with a positive mentality.  It is flaw in critical thinking that further distinguishes the candidates and their respective teams.  The differences are stunning.

The Clinton team has given every indication that they essentially have no plan to win the nomination other than encouraging their supporters to be anti-Obama, asserting that the Obama campaign has called for her to step down.  While this may create enough distracting buzz, it is not without permanent damage to the party and to herself politically.

Conversely, Obama’s team consistently delivers an upbeat message.  They are focused on the Republican Party opposition and apparently trust the DNC to solve the MI and FL debate, which includes Obama representation.  They have managed to keep the issues separate and distinct from matters of governance, public policy and international relations.  Moreover, they have avoiding conflating political issues with public policy issues, another overwhelming shortcoming of Clinton’s leadership.

However, most clearly, the Obama team practices a mature methodology that minimizes negativity by expressing thoughts in a positive manner.  It is evidenced in the language of the campaign, in the demeanor of the campaigners and in the words of Obama.  The messages put out by the Obama campaign and the results of that message were not a secret.  The campaign has trained quite openly.  They seldom overreact, they seldom express contentious issues with contentious language.  They always react in a predictable manner that  apparently continues to frustrate his detractors and win over more supporters.

Clinton and Clinton: Politics of Personal Self-Destruction

– The Almost Daily Binx, San Jose, CA; by Binx101

Night and Day

But the single most damaging elements of the Hillary campaign have been her own – usually unscripted – words.

Cole Porter may have immortalized the tune – singing of undying love; however the night and day of Obama and Clinton politics decry polar opposites with nary a shred of love.  While the differences between the two camps are dramatic – they are nonetheless, predictable.  On this Memorial Day week-end, replete with non-stop broadcasts of WWII themed cinema, one could envision the Clinton battleship intercom summoning damage control and launching countermeasures.  The sad fact, however, is that the damage to the Clinton battleship is directly attributable to poor seamanship and the most damaging blows have come from its own guns.

The Obama camp has issued only one official statement with regards to the latest Clinton gaffe, using June as a political month in which anything can happen, declaring it to have “no place in this race” and “unfortunate.” Of course, the arguably fatal allegory, including  turn-around historical events such as the tragic murder of RFK, has ignited incredible acrimony among mid-grounders and has launched a diving contest of Super-delegates off-the-fence.  The rebuke of Hillary’s incredibly insensitive comment has led many to question her campaign’s rhetoric of her Stately prowess.

Not unlike the Titanic, the Clinton battleship was outfitted with less life-boats than were necessary, because of a false sense of security regarding the ship’s integrity, structural superiority and quality of construction.  There was little consideration of the Captain’s and Crews’ seamanship to plot a course that would safely deliver its payload in an effective and meaningful manner, relying carelessly on outdated maps and retired Admirals to sail uncharted waters.  Many refer to this carelessness as a claim  of ‘entitlement’ that emanates from the bowels of the Democratic Leadership Committee – a modern study in political hubris. But the single most damaging elements of the Hillary campaign have been her own – usually unscripted – words.

Hillary Blames Obama Campaign – Bill Clinton: Plays the Pity Card

What we hear is Bill Clinton complaining that Hillary is paying for his sins

In a widely predicted flourish of countermeasures, Hillary Clinton accused Barack Obama of driving a misunderstanding regarding her latest episode of hoof-in-mouth disease, and the ensuing media melee.  Truth be told – Obama spokespersons were in unison around all media most demonstrably steering clear of the maelstrom created by Clinton’s own words.  Almost like clockwork, the Clinton machine of Democratic Dinosaurs has been reverting to type and offering arguments that the Obama campaign has shaped the media and general public’s perception of her comments.  If this were possible, we suggest that the Clinton campaign would have been over on February 5th, 2008.

Despite numerous comments by Barack Obama, supporting the legitimacy of a protracted primary race, thus offering no support to those demanding she drop out – the Clinton campaign has been relentless in launching ad hominem attacks against Obama and apparently engaging in paranormal mathematics.

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton has engaged in another dimension by declaring that Hillary Clinton is being treated unfairly.  Understandably, one contestant will win and one will lose, but to listen to Bill Clinton – the mixed race, Barack Hussein Obama has had more favorable treatment.  Not unlike his colleague and Clinton operative Gerri Ferraro, who decried that Obama already had an advantage because he was a black male ( a conclusion that may eventually earn Ferraro a well deserved psychological evaluation); Bill Clinton has begun singing a chorus of “Shame on you America for not handing this to Hillary on a silver platter.”

This in itself might be tolerable if not for the fact that Bill Clinton plunged our nation into neocon control of Congress because of his inability to politically manage the Democratic party under his control.  Then, with the judgment of a hormonally dysfunctional high school student, he engaged in sexual dalliances with a young woman, in the White House.  The result of which further unhinged the Democratic party and shifted public opinion to accept that their president was a pathological liar – with a law degree, that might very well hit on ones teenage daughter at a fund-raiser.  What we hear is Bill Clinton complaining that Hillary is paying for his sins – a potential reality that in part, may not be as far-fetched as it appears, but not for the same reasons as he may think.

Campaign Leadership is Prologue

unwavering campaign message, even under severe attack by both McCain and Clinton operatives

Considering the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, the startling differences of leadership have been pronounced to the degree that it is reflective not only of their political supporters but an indelible mark of their individual leadership styles and capabilities.  The practices of the Senators have received far more scrutiny than in recent elections, and thus, have been revealing to degree that would have escaped previous presidential races, if not for the unusual nomination contest this year.  Barack Obama, has been the beneficiary of this extended nomination process in our final analysis.

Average Americans that are certain to vote Democratic in the fall have had a glimpse into leadership styles, communication skills and the ability to manage a cohesive message.  Team building, as a very important component of executive leadership skills, have also been Night and Day. The dramatically different leadership styles and subsequent results from a team perspective are evident in the exponential growth of Obama’s supporters from grassroots beginnings – in contrast to Clinton’s campaign that has been borne from party elders in the NY Democratic machine coupled with National party elders that were very comfortable with more-of-the-same.

We respectfully submit that the Hillary Clinton campaign is terminal not because of Team Clinton’s assertions of unfairness, sexism, etc… but rather the fact that Obama’s lack of political ballast of Democratic Dinosaurs, his working knowledge as a Professor of Constitutional law; and, his ability to inspire and deliver an unwavering campaign message, even under severe attack by both McCain and Clinton operatives, has continually propelled Obama.  In addition the youth movement that has gained considerably more momentum will be very important to the future of our Nation’s healing process.

We further submit that the youth of our Nation have every right to be a deciding component in choosing the next president of the United States considering the fact that the current president has squandered our reputation, squandered many American lives and squandered our treasury’s surplus, largely at the expense of the next two generations.  As a Nation we have seen what tenured political leadership has delivered as a largely uninspired electorate stood by idly, addicted to chest pounding and fairy-tales.  Indeed they have every right to weigh in on the change in our political leadership.

McCain – Republican Royalists Re-visited

The Loquacious Liaison League & Loyal Lobbyists

“We fear McCain is much more dangerous than more of the same.”

Clearly the U.S. Constitution provides for the lobbying of Congress, and to that point, the mjgramm.jpgprotection of  lobbying seems to have mystically transformed itself into protection of lobbyists. For instance, one of architects of the type of unbridled financial deregulation that has indisputably led to our national mortgage disgrace is former Senator Phil Gramm (R-Texas) Co-Chair of McCain’s presidential campaign. Read Politico here.

fiorina.jpgAdd to that mix, conferees such as Carly Fiorina, who last was scene riding the rails out of Silicon Valley with a boxcar full of dough after causing a revolution at HP that set the company back 10 years.  Not only did she manage to alienate the talent at acquired Compaq, Inc., she pleaded for patience with her branded value-added integrators while her henchman began violating non-compete agreements and offering the integrators customers cheaper deals if they did business directly with HP.

And just to add to the list of lobbyists that performed hawking acts for EADS (European hoover.jpgAeronautic and Defence Co.) and now strategically placed among the McCain election campaign.  (A recent article dicussing McCain’s role in the Pentagon’s choice of Airbus to displace US Based Boeing to build the next military tanker plane here) and we can see a seond coming of the Royalists that could spin FDR in his grave. John McCain, while not as lucid as Herbert Hoover, does share his lack of tact, as evidenced by his Gregorian chant speaking style which is compounded by his lackluster thinking style.  We fear McCain is much more dangerous than more of the same.

Ridiculous Comparisons – McCain and Clinton Share the Stage

“… claimed to misspeak, as opposed to being mistaken”

If you want to see the real John McCain – search the Internet for dialogues that can’t bemccainhat.jpg rehearsed and speeches that aren’t written by others – so that you can get a glimpse of the his lack of information, knowledge of history and feel for governance.  For instance, recently, although soft-balled by the corporate media, John McCain equated the occupation and invasion of Iraq with the continued US presence in Japan, Korea and Germany.

We were dumbstruck with the lack of critical challenge from the cowering corporate media in this barely conscious allegory, instead of the obvious comparison to Viet Nam.  A war that was not victorious, an occupation that remained bloody and a political battle that empowered the military industrial complex pricisely the way President Eisenhower warned in his farewell address.

hillwideeyed.jpgIt is also our opinion that the Democratic Party’s lack of unity and Hillary Clinton’s recent symbolic embrace of her friend John McCain’s leadership, was a dangerous and offensive slap in the face not to her intended victim, Barack Obama, but to the Democratic party at large.  It is the Clinton Campaign’s ‘anything goes’ / ‘kitchen sink’ styled attack that reveals a similar danger in Hillary Clinton’s leadership style.

Recent gaffes about Bosnia and mistakingly promoting that her landing party was under attack or taking sniper fire during a trip in the late 90’s was characterized as misspeaking.hillarybosnia.jpg We beg to differ.  Misspeaking is when one mispronounces someone’s name, or attributes the wrong person to a quote.  Both the person and the quote exist in fact.  Misremembering is something quite different and should be subject to every scrutiny on this matter and other matters where she has claimed to misspeak, as opposed to being mistaken. Mistaken is a mild way of characterizing a little girl and flowers as sniper fire.

No one has suggested that she has to have combat experience to be able to capably be our Nation’s civilian Command-in-Chief.  We do think this was an attempt to further her claims of being tested.  While we understand that her campaign thought the tag-line would be a good tool against Obama’s relative newness on the National political scene, it has yet to be substantiated.

Clinton / McCain: Blowing Smoke Up Your Eyes

Delta Force Farce Flap

“… an alarming self-aggrandizing memory lapse.”

By now everyone has heard or read the Hillary Clinton got a little confused about hillpenn.jpgsomething that she may have watched at the movies,  A simple review of the news accounts from the period showed Chelsea accompanying her as well as comedian / performer Sindbad, who coincidentally, contradicted her multiple accounts.  Fair enough, she misspoke about a flawed recollection and also embellished a little about it in her memoir.  Of and in itself, not really a big deal, although an alarming self-aggrandizing memory lapse.

“… that McCain had solicited the endorsement had completely slipped John McCain’s mind.”

macainhagee.jpgSpeaking of memory lapse, John McCain recently suggested that he couldn’t see how Barack Obama could distance himself from the assertions of Rev. Wright, since he remained a member of Trinity Church; completely forgetting that after hugging the porcine Christo-Fascist Rev. Hagee,  he defended criticisms by invoking that he didn’t agree with many of Hagee’s beliefs and shouldn’t be held accountable for things the Pastor believes that he (McCain) does not believe.

About a week later, the revelation (pardon the expression) that McCain had solicited the endorsement had completely slipped John McCain’s mind, and although the portly Rev. Hagee has made numerous public statements affirming that McCain’s people sought his endorsement, McCain is still a little foggy.

 White House or Bust

“… Clinton is willing to completely polarize the Democratic Party …”

whitehouse.jpg

What is a big deal though, is the harsh negativity and half truths that Team Hillary has introduced into this race for the Democratic nomination, that has many wondering to what end?  It’s as though the greater Team Clinton is willing to completely polarize the Democratic Party in order to win a Presidency that clearly does not appear to be within her legitimate grasp.

McCain and Hillary have much more in common than their memory lapses.  They both represent powerful interests that are bent on re-securing the power of the White House that has spiraled out of good public opinion. For McCain its the NeoCon empire of Right Wing extremists that he’s been willing to embrace in order that he can occupy the White House.

 johnhill1.jpg

McCain’s Hand at Fiction

“Unfit for commmand??  We believe he’s unfit to use a remote control.”

A week after John McCain has reported (just short of using the term swimmingly) that things are getting better in Iraq – Baghdad violence surges and no less than 2 major military agreements are in ruin.  Certainly he took no heed in the fact that the shopping trip he went on with 100 troops and two Blackhawk helicopters in tow last year was not possible this trip because of increased violence.  Yet, his words told us of improvement.

Unfit for command??  We believe he’s unfit to use a remote control.

Admittedly, McCain is not a brain surgeon.  He’s not an accountant, nor a Constitutional expert.  What then is he?  We’ll leave that to the electorate that are still cheering him regardless of the fact that he may be worse than more of the same.  If you’ve been here before, you know that we think that John McCain is nuts. Tin Foil Hat Nuts.  We’re not alone.  <How Insane is John McCain? – here>

Obama Speech: Poised, Precise, Powerful

-18 Mar 08, The Almost Daily Binx, San Jose, CA; by Binx101

Poised

“… the very first word that passed his lips was ‘We.’ “

“We the people, in order to form a more perfect union.” This was the first line spoken during the recent speech of Presidential hopeful, Barack Obama – the first sentence of the preamble of the U.S. Constitution.  One would be hard-pressed to find a self-sustaining piointing-obama.jpgmoderately competent individual that wouldn’t be listening keenly to the words to follow with a degree of patience.

In our opinion, this is what sets this leader apart from the field, by a wide margin.  In the heat of controversy, all of which is about other people’s words or other people’s deeds, Obama managed to capture attention by leading not only with an historical American epistle, but the very first word that passed his lips was ‘We.’   The Preamble to the Constitution is recognizable to Amreicans devoid of politics or heritage and the mere simplicity set the tone for a speech that was not about outrage – but about understanding.

Precise

“The new visibility, may just impact the reality of the heavily Clinton favored Pennsylvania primary, in a way her camp had not considered.”

He then, didn’t move the discussion away from Rev. Wright’s highly provocative words from the pulpit, but rather steered directly into it.  The Pastor’s words have been largely the focus of the media and the Clinton political operatives Mark Penn and Howard Wolfson have been considering the controversy to be just the party Pinata they needed to sweeten up thier odds.

wolfson.jpgmarkpenn.jpghillarylooking.jpg

Unfortunately, it may turn out that instead of a Pinata, they’ve handed Barack Obama the opportunity to be visible in yet another way that is likely to widen his lead.  The new visibility, may just impact the reality of the heavily Clinton favored Pennsylvania primary, in a way her camp had not considered.

Powerful

“… a lesson in respect of which a battle fatigued electorate desperately needs.”

Obama’s speech never deviated from the posed arguments from political operatives. He even cogently and skillfully disarmed (mentally competent) detractors by equating Wright’s comments with those of Geraldine Ferraro, making it difficult to create a different argument for each of their words, and in fact, dismissing both of them as relics of their own relevance in the current conversation.

revwright1.jpgbaracksmile1.jpggerryferraro.jpg

As usual, his words were hopeful and some of the most powerful and healthy rhetoric our Nation has heard in decades.  Newscasters were visibly moved as the powerful delivery left them searching for description.  MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough was hit his professional high with concise and sober summary.  We hope the rest of the MSNBC team reacts ‘in kind’ instead of cheer-leading or storming the gates of reason.

The CNN team was a bit overwhelmed and in need of hand fans, but while they may have taken a brief respite from broadcast demeanor – it was indicative of the powerful speech in which many “Newsies” thought that the U.S. Senator from Illinois was going to distance himself from Rev. Wright.  Howeer, he very eloquently and directly responded by delivering a lesson in respect of which a battle fatigued electorate desperately needs. Perhaps we will not have to suffer the continous loop of Rev. Wright and Geraldine Ferraro’s comments in the coming weeks.

The entire speech can be read at this Raw Story Link.

Barack, Hillary and the Ugly America the Press Loves

-13 Mar 08, The Almost Daily Binx, San Jose, CA, by Binx101

Ferraro, Wright and Wrong (And Crazy Uncle Nunzio)

Ferraro

“… she’s handling her embarrassment in a profoundly unflattering way…”

Geraldine Ferraro shot off her mouth, whether contextually correct or incorrect, she has to account for her words.  Whether that means she gets more speaking engagments or less club dates at the AEI Speakers Bureau, we can’t say.  But we can say that any press is gferraro.jpggood press if you talk for a buck, and among other things – she does.  All of her comments were said in broad daylight – not on a dark muddy country road.

We don’t agree with her sentiment or her insistence that she’s being unduly targeted.  that she’s handling her embarrassment in a profoundly unflattering way is her own doing and product of her personality.  She’s decided to defend her awkward and very obscure metaphor instead of simply saying – I meant no offense and didn’t really express myself the way one would expect a ‘Paid Professional Speaker.  Anyone that thinks Geraldine Ferraro deserves to called a racist is way off.  That here words could be considered racist and offensive is another matter.  Politics, her dangerous profession of choice, provided the venue for misunderstanding.  We think she should have known better and simply sit down and take a brief time out.  She’s now a liability to all Americans because her words are being broadcast all over the world as Ugly America.

Wright

“… the headline is actually uglier than the story…”

Reverend Wright also talks for a buck – so to speak.  You can call it a lot of things, and one can give all the money away – but talking for a buck is still talking for a buck.  Brian Ross’s ABC Investigative Team “uncovered” this story from broad daylight.   Rev. Wright echoed partly the sentiments of over 60% of Americans.  CNN is covering , FOX will do their thing, as will the NYT, Wall Street Journal and anything else that will turn a buck. Bloomberg will be in there and then Time and Newsweek will bat clean-up. Sure, the headline that ABC used were infact his words, but so were Marc Antony’s when he said “Brutus is an honorable man.wright”  We think it was already controversial and risky that he opted to preach with a profound negative.  Nonetheless, it was his decision.

What is more disturbing is that the headline is actually uglier than the story – and that’s what puts the pizzazz, the smack, the sizzle in the story.  Our guess is that Brian Ross had nothing to do with the title.  The story itself is very fair – but the editor or editors that selected the title -that’s how you get news profits.  Nonetheless, the Reverend needs to take a lesson from the ‘Ferraro v. Ego’ bout and just take a time out.  Is it possible?  We don’t know. What we do know is that Democrats – single handedly, have just handed the Bloated Right Wing Hate machine enough material for the next month of broadcasts.  C’est la D!

Wrong

“… Olbermann did one of those overreactions last night … “

We think that the continous overreaction is fruitless.  Sure, someone says something olbermann.jpgagainst our ‘choice’ and we’re all noise and shaking fists. MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann did one of those overreactions last night on his broadcast at ‘Countdown.’   At the risk of annoying the Olbermann fans – his commentary was pure nonsense and further support of the corporate media’s love affair with the Bloodsport of Politics.   It just jumps into the game as defined by the opposition.  This hyper-emotional display in place of intellectual analysis and reasoned discourse is submission to the business of hate – not enlightenment.

This is not a discussion about the shredding of the American Constitution, this is one of the Freedoms of the American Constitution – a free election with all it’s strengths and weaknesses.  This is not about the coup of our White House and the leaders selling the furniture to foreign governments – this is about Americans trying to get to the White House to take back our government.  Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama are going to be the Democratic nominee for President.  We think you should keep that in mind and not drag either of them down the rabbit hole.  The fight is ugly enough.

Crazy Uncle Nunzio on Keith Olbermann

“… you lose your perspective and become a meaninglsess brawler !”

“Hey Olbermann, you’re a smart kid – Bring back the intellectual commentary please? Rise above the smoke an tell us what’s happening … don’t roll up your sleeves and start swinging with the rest of them – you lose your perspective and become a meaninglsess brawler !  There’s plenty of volunteers for that game.”

Uncle Nunzio knows.  He’s a big fan.  He catches all your grammatical errors, malapropisms and loves the way you want to be an intellectual newsman.

He says, “Being a newsman means more than just using a line from Edward R. Morrow!  You’ve got to lose that expression on your face like your mother made you eat the brussells sprouts.  Then get that feeling out of your gut.”  He continued, ” You can give your opinion without a tantrum.  You’re playing their game – not yours.   Play your game.  Keep at it kid !”

Didn’t Obama Actually Beat Clinton in Texas?

– 8 Mar 08, The Almost Daily Binx, San Jose, CA by Binx101

‘Reports of My Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated’

“… abandoning the practice of political candidates to tip their hat with one hand and drop a banana peel with the other.”

Texas with Counties

The word on the street is that Obama may have a Mark Twain moment. The original quote is actually more relevant. Twain’s handwritten note read, ‘James Ross Clemens, a cousin of mine was ill two or three weeks ago in London, but is well now. The report of my illness grew out of his illness. The report of my death was an exaggeration.’

We feel this is actually quite apropos to the current situation and closely fitting with the personality of Barack Obama. That is to say – abandoning the practice of political candidates to tip their hat with one hand and drop a banana peel with the other.

“… overall Obama lead in Texas after counting caucuses …”

Even with the information so clearly suggesting an overall Obama lead in Texas after counting caucuses , the Obama camp hasn’t lit up banners or hit the airwaves with a departure from their message.  More details here from Jonathan Alter’s Newsweek Piece. There’s even a Slate delegate calculator link within Alter’s article.  Jack Cafferty of CNN did a fine job too.

We think the ‘chill-style’ is going to pay-off big-time for Obama. In a few short days, after what appears to be a turn-around for Hillary Clinton, it is possible that her own hubris and the tactics of her team may in fact completely turn it around to its starting position.

Obama’s Resolve and Confidence – Frustrates Some

“… mastery of innuendo that is making her look … well kind of like the Monster…”

Critics all over talk radio had advice for Barack Obama. TV Talking spokesmodels and ‘newsish’ types also had plenty to say about the ‘Kitchen Sink’ attack from Hillary Clinton. clintonmonster.jpgMuch of which is filled with some pretty disturbing distortions. Some may say out right lies – but its Hillary’s mastery of innuendo that is making her look … well kind of like the Monster that Pulitzer Prize winning author and scholar, Samantha Power described in her interview with Gerri Peev of the Scotsman.

Hillary is very adept at using sarcasm. We like that about her. But being good at the art of sarcasm and satire doesn’t mean that it is always honest. There is sufficient media archival proof that Hillary Clinton has had battles with rigorous honesty and is too far along in her political career to ‘green it up’ now. In fact, we are confident that at the time we finally see the Clinton Tax returns – ‘Greening it up’ may have a completely different connotation.

“Obama … definitive leadership … disciplined temperament.”

Thus, from our perspective, Barack Obama shows the definitive leadership assets of patience and disciplined temperament. Even his detractors, career Republicans agreeing to hoist McCain or those that have agreed to bolster Hillary Clinton to insure a win foroandh.jpg McCain, have to be moved by a leadership calmness and confidence that we haven’t seen in the Presidency for many years.

Much to the dismay of many supporters, the Obama camp doesn’t have an emergency spin system and capitulating counter-offenses. Many consider it a flawed strategy. Some of us don’t consider it anything but a winning solution.
