Clinton Camp Talking with Hostage Negotiators

Delegates, We Don’t Need No Stink’n Delegates

Hillary lawyering machine … pariah status exceeding the radioactive half-life of plutonium.

The interesting thing about being drunk, whether it’s from alcohol or power, it is always trademarked with glimpses of ones true personality.  At least, that’s been my observation.  It is our opinion, the Clinton leadership is now holding the process hostage in a most predictable manner.  in doing so, they are trying to create one last distraction in which to threaten harm to Obama’s presumed victory, the single most effective tool of the Clinton campaign, which has further distinguished themselves with their penchant for negativity.

We offer that while this article is being written, the Hillary camp is threatening continuing all the way to the convention, hammering Obama, unless she’s offered the VP slot and right quick, in a deal that would further call into question the propriety of the Democratic Party.  We further contend that the Hillary lawyering machine is passing enough threats to almost guarantee pariah status exceeding the radioactive half-life of plutonium.

Reality Check – Prediction

… should he be caught on tape robbing a convenience store later this summer.

The screaming woman at the DNC Rules Committee Hearing, notwithstanding, there is a growing Democratic constituency that is beginning to embrace a Democratic future that is Clinton free.  For many it is an unprecedented change of heart, however the candidate is going to take the heat for the Ickes, McAuliffe’s, Wolfson’s and Penn’s, very ‘Bush White House’ inspired antics.  Even her most ardent supporters have confided in us that they are beginning to feel a bit abused.  While no one wants to see their hard earned campaign contributions go up in smoke, the Legacy of the Clinton campaign is less about inspiration and more about fiction.

After a day of teasing the public in a last ditch attempt to shake the trees and see if there is more support for her … the Clinton campaign will release the hostages and using language that will further be distinguished by its dis-clarity – put the Clinton campaign in neutral and set the parking brake.  This will include offering conciliatory but not irreversible endorsement of Obama, should he be caught on tape robbing a convenience store later this summer.

Obama: Brand Consistent

Singular Temperament

more revealing of their own lack of discernment and lust for blood-sport.

As a study in leadership, the Obama campaign has been a stunning example of effective leadership and dedicated team building.  This may have as much to do with those creating the message, as it does with those carrying the message.  Supporters, most visibly consisting of the broadest representation of Democrats and Independents, is demonstrably different in composition than the opposing Clinton campaign, and this is repeatedly evident in the arguments between the campaigns,  and the manner in which the respective groups entreaty the electorate.

The Clinton team had routinely been very aggressive and media savvy in packaging and executing each argument, often optioning media opportunities to preview potential major assaults and empowering those that fared well.  The high priced marketing gurus of the Clinton campaign would then, apply resources to arguments that fared well in their crafty focus group approach.  Since the myriad of info-tainment channels are clamoring for content – the campaign professionals would have been remiss to not capitalize on opportunities.  However, after a series of missteps by Senator Clinton, those media opportunities became the testing ground for plausible defences instead of a potential glimpses of policy and values initiatives.

Conversely, the Obama campaign has not altered its strategies, however, it is duly noted that tactically, they have maneuvered the campaign in such a way as to control their own message by not operating from the defensive posture.  In fact, the campaign has demonstrated a patience via a confident pause, which almost without fail, has permitted its attackers to bloody themselves by not protecting themselves from the ricochet of their own dangerous assertions.

Often this patience has been misinterpreted by the corporate media as not effective.  Calls from the info-tainment glitterati and political pundits alike for Obama to hit back and hit hard – have been wide off the mark. Although, to date, not one of the millionaire club of broadcasters has admitted that their poor assessment of Obama’s strategy was more revealing of their own lack of discernment and lust for blood-sport.

Hope Springs Eternal

Geraldine Ferraro began to talk so much, no one wanted to hear her anymore and everyone was encouraging her to seek counseling

The message of hope from the Obama campaign, was never cavalierly tossed about as the Clinton Campaign asserted.  Again, Hillary Clinton, in a show of hubris and frustration, mocked Obama’s message of hope; yet, the single most devastating blow to Clinton, was delivered by her own words as the public, press and youth rejected her argument, chastised her and punished her campaign for the sophomoric and sarcastic speech in which she mocked not only the Obama message, but the sentiments of millions of voters that believe that his message is precisely what is missing from the political landscape.

While Hillary may have had a few seconds of immediate gratification from her animated assault on hope… she paid a heavy price, since shortly thereafter, a number of prominent figures declared for Obama, directly attributing their timing as expressive of their belief that Senator Clinton had convinced them that Obama was the only choice. Further evidenced by the Clinton campaign, again changing its message, reapplying ‘Change’ throughout the campaign and distancing itself from their own assault on Obama.

The Clinton campaign, expensively staffed with marketing magnates, political warfare strategists and Democratic party dinosaurs struggles to maintain a degree of power and relevance even though their politics is obsolete and partly responsible for our present demise.   Geraldine Ferraro, a perfect example of the Clinton dinosaurs, took any opportunity to speak on a myriad of TV news outlets in order to promote her own brand and further call into question Hillary Clinton’s leadership and campaign message.

The pundits, with fingers crossed, tossing hands of coins into fountains and wishing-wells, didn’t get their wish. Obama would not take the bait.  He would not be foolish enough to engage.  By simply exercising a little patience, just like her candidate – Geraldine Ferraro began to talk so much, no one wanted to hear her anymore and everyone was encouraging her to seek counseling, since her conclusions and assertions betrayed any facade of mental health she had previously enjoyed.

A Positive Mentality

They seldom overreact, they seldom express contentious issues with contentious language.

The singular most damaging mistake Obama opponents have made is confusing a positive message with a positive mentality.  It is flaw in critical thinking that further distinguishes the candidates and their respective teams.  The differences are stunning.

The Clinton team has given every indication that they essentially have no plan to win the nomination other than encouraging their supporters to be anti-Obama, asserting that the Obama campaign has called for her to step down.  While this may create enough distracting buzz, it is not without permanent damage to the party and to herself politically.

Conversely, Obama’s team consistently delivers an upbeat message.  They are focused on the Republican Party opposition and apparently trust the DNC to solve the MI and FL debate, which includes Obama representation.  They have managed to keep the issues separate and distinct from matters of governance, public policy and international relations.  Moreover, they have avoiding conflating political issues with public policy issues, another overwhelming shortcoming of Clinton’s leadership.

However, most clearly, the Obama team practices a mature methodology that minimizes negativity by expressing thoughts in a positive manner.  It is evidenced in the language of the campaign, in the demeanor of the campaigners and in the words of Obama.  The messages put out by the Obama campaign and the results of that message were not a secret.  The campaign has trained quite openly.  They seldom overreact, they seldom express contentious issues with contentious language.  They always react in a predictable manner that  apparently continues to frustrate his detractors and win over more supporters.

Clinton and Clinton: Politics of Personal Self-Destruction

– The Almost Daily Binx, San Jose, CA; by Binx101

Night and Day

But the single most damaging elements of the Hillary campaign have been her own – usually unscripted – words.

Cole Porter may have immortalized the tune – singing of undying love; however the night and day of Obama and Clinton politics decry polar opposites with nary a shred of love.  While the differences between the two camps are dramatic – they are nonetheless, predictable.  On this Memorial Day week-end, replete with non-stop broadcasts of WWII themed cinema, one could envision the Clinton battleship intercom summoning damage control and launching countermeasures.  The sad fact, however, is that the damage to the Clinton battleship is directly attributable to poor seamanship and the most damaging blows have come from its own guns.

The Obama camp has issued only one official statement with regards to the latest Clinton gaffe, using June as a political month in which anything can happen, declaring it to have “no place in this race” and “unfortunate.” Of course, the arguably fatal allegory, including  turn-around historical events such as the tragic murder of RFK, has ignited incredible acrimony among mid-grounders and has launched a diving contest of Super-delegates off-the-fence.  The rebuke of Hillary’s incredibly insensitive comment has led many to question her campaign’s rhetoric of her Stately prowess.

Not unlike the Titanic, the Clinton battleship was outfitted with less life-boats than were necessary, because of a false sense of security regarding the ship’s integrity, structural superiority and quality of construction.  There was little consideration of the Captain’s and Crews’ seamanship to plot a course that would safely deliver its payload in an effective and meaningful manner, relying carelessly on outdated maps and retired Admirals to sail uncharted waters.  Many refer to this carelessness as a claim  of ‘entitlement’ that emanates from the bowels of the Democratic Leadership Committee – a modern study in political hubris. But the single most damaging elements of the Hillary campaign have been her own – usually unscripted – words.

Hillary Blames Obama Campaign – Bill Clinton: Plays the Pity Card

What we hear is Bill Clinton complaining that Hillary is paying for his sins

In a widely predicted flourish of countermeasures, Hillary Clinton accused Barack Obama of driving a misunderstanding regarding her latest episode of hoof-in-mouth disease, and the ensuing media melee.  Truth be told – Obama spokespersons were in unison around all media most demonstrably steering clear of the maelstrom created by Clinton’s own words.  Almost like clockwork, the Clinton machine of Democratic Dinosaurs has been reverting to type and offering arguments that the Obama campaign has shaped the media and general public’s perception of her comments.  If this were possible, we suggest that the Clinton campaign would have been over on February 5th, 2008.

Despite numerous comments by Barack Obama, supporting the legitimacy of a protracted primary race, thus offering no support to those demanding she drop out – the Clinton campaign has been relentless in launching ad hominem attacks against Obama and apparently engaging in paranormal mathematics.

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton has engaged in another dimension by declaring that Hillary Clinton is being treated unfairly.  Understandably, one contestant will win and one will lose, but to listen to Bill Clinton – the mixed race, Barack Hussein Obama has had more favorable treatment.  Not unlike his colleague and Clinton operative Gerri Ferraro, who decried that Obama already had an advantage because he was a black male ( a conclusion that may eventually earn Ferraro a well deserved psychological evaluation); Bill Clinton has begun singing a chorus of “Shame on you America for not handing this to Hillary on a silver platter.”

This in itself might be tolerable if not for the fact that Bill Clinton plunged our nation into neocon control of Congress because of his inability to politically manage the Democratic party under his control.  Then, with the judgment of a hormonally dysfunctional high school student, he engaged in sexual dalliances with a young woman, in the White House.  The result of which further unhinged the Democratic party and shifted public opinion to accept that their president was a pathological liar – with a law degree, that might very well hit on ones teenage daughter at a fund-raiser.  What we hear is Bill Clinton complaining that Hillary is paying for his sins – a potential reality that in part, may not be as far-fetched as it appears, but not for the same reasons as he may think.

Campaign Leadership is Prologue

unwavering campaign message, even under severe attack by both McCain and Clinton operatives

Considering the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, the startling differences of leadership have been pronounced to the degree that it is reflective not only of their political supporters but an indelible mark of their individual leadership styles and capabilities.  The practices of the Senators have received far more scrutiny than in recent elections, and thus, have been revealing to degree that would have escaped previous presidential races, if not for the unusual nomination contest this year.  Barack Obama, has been the beneficiary of this extended nomination process in our final analysis.

Average Americans that are certain to vote Democratic in the fall have had a glimpse into leadership styles, communication skills and the ability to manage a cohesive message.  Team building, as a very important component of executive leadership skills, have also been Night and Day. The dramatically different leadership styles and subsequent results from a team perspective are evident in the exponential growth of Obama’s supporters from grassroots beginnings – in contrast to Clinton’s campaign that has been borne from party elders in the NY Democratic machine coupled with National party elders that were very comfortable with more-of-the-same.

We respectfully submit that the Hillary Clinton campaign is terminal not because of Team Clinton’s assertions of unfairness, sexism, etc… but rather the fact that Obama’s lack of political ballast of Democratic Dinosaurs, his working knowledge as a Professor of Constitutional law; and, his ability to inspire and deliver an unwavering campaign message, even under severe attack by both McCain and Clinton operatives, has continually propelled Obama.  In addition the youth movement that has gained considerably more momentum will be very important to the future of our Nation’s healing process.

We further submit that the youth of our Nation have every right to be a deciding component in choosing the next president of the United States considering the fact that the current president has squandered our reputation, squandered many American lives and squandered our treasury’s surplus, largely at the expense of the next two generations.  As a Nation we have seen what tenured political leadership has delivered as a largely uninspired electorate stood by idly, addicted to chest pounding and fairy-tales.  Indeed they have every right to weigh in on the change in our political leadership.

Terry McAuliffe – Political Yahtzee

We picture his morning excercise to include fifteen minutes of “You lookin’ at me ??”

In moves of desperation, seasoned with some B-movie theatrics, the Hillary Clinton Campaign is looking for a political do-over.  This is accomplished by ignoring reality and floating out the possibility of Barack Obama having a ‘Bill O’Reilly’ moment in public melt-down, beating his children while robbing a bank. Now, bring out a holiday post-meal favorite – Yahtzee !!!  Of course if this analogy were to be a bit more complete … it would include the fact that in this case – there’s been no meal.  Just Yahtzee.

And what Yahtzee it is … as everyone watches … the HRC team rolls ones, but fills in sixes; then they roll twos and fill in fives. But the fun part is, everyone is watching.  Directly to the point – we believe Terry McAuliffe has a life altering bonus at stake – and has decided that his prize is more important than acknowledging the truth, doing the right thing or the entire health of the Democratic Party.  We don’t know what it is, but his once pleasant smiling face has been replaced with gambler’s worried look and an aspiring mobster’s glare.  We picture his morning exercise to include fifteen minutes of “You lookin’ at me ?? Eh? You lookin’ at me???” in a spittle covered mirror.

Going for Broke – The Next Career?

“… collective of policies of the Hillary Clinton campaign should be of grave concern to supporters and precursor to the high likelihood of this behavior carrying on into a Clinton presidency.”

But the real meat on the bone – is the fact that Terry McAuliffe, seems to be unfamiliar with his own words (cick-here), (as head of the Democratic National Committee) sternly warning Michigan that there delegates would not be ‘seated’ under any circumstances, if they attempted to move up their primary and violate the rules, four years ago.  In fact, these were not just words, but rather they were threats, to Senator Carl Levin (D-MI.) McAuliffe seems to ignore reality when confronted with his own unwavering position and continues speaking as though he didn’t hear, read – or -in fact write his own contradiction to his current position on behalf of Hillary.

We’re not quite sure what the potential upside is for McAuliffe, but we feel safe to assume that the prize for his public self-destruction and career suicide is a stream of Murdoch book deals and a five year contract with FOX News.  A company, by the way that McAuliffe has been publicly praising and courting, in another mind-boggling reversal of attitude.  In addition, we feel that this “kitchen sink” and “anything goes” collective of policies of the Hillary Clinton campaign should be of grave concern to supporters and precursor to the high likelihood of this behavior carrying on into a Clinton presidency.

The Resilience of Wile E. Coyote

“… an Obama presidency would serve to unravel the very network of corrupt Democratic politics that has shielded many …”

Any fan of the Road-Runner cartoons remembers two things.  The Road-Runner always wins, and Wile E. Coyote never quits.  It doesn’t matter what the cost, what the danger or the obvious reality. The coyote is driven beyond the realm of reality, beyond the limits of physical abuse and beyond the limits of any public good … covering roads with debris, causing mine shafts to collapse … and sending missiles in the air with a disregard for when they miss their target.

While McAuliffe, is clearly auditioning for his next job, although it is highly unlikely it will be in Democratic politics, Hillary has passed up the opportunity to make a difference in any form in future, because of the tenor of her campaign and the obvious refusal to acquiesce to the inspirational candidate, the youthful candidate and the non-collateralized candidate.  Of course the danger to Clinton, is that an Obama presidency would serve to unravel the very network of corrupt Democratic politics that has shielded many of the dinosaurs from public scrutiny.

Hillary Campaign Fatal : Political Suicide Bombing – Blasts Obama Hope Message –

Call us cynical but it seems that Hillary Clinton’s advisers have and are doing a very poor job of interpreting feed-back or for that matter – keeping up with current events.  Last week’s rebuke of the Obama flyer challenging Hillary on issues (NAFTA to be specific) has been around for quite a while, in fact, long before the last debate.  It is difficult enough to complain about factual references to actual positions, but to recapture the moment weeks later, as though it was just discovered is a new low in strategy.  The lowest point though, may have been invoking the name of Karl Rove.  It seems this latest rant may in fact be the death rattle of the Clinton Campaign.

Two important considerations.  If the Campaign reaction was mere theater – the campaign advisers are terribly off-the-mark in distinguishing opportunities from quick-sand.  If, however, this rebuke of Obama’s flyer as direct challenge to candidate Clinton’s positions is because they just discovered it – then the noise we heard was the death rattle of an incompetent campaign.  In either case – Hillary in negative mode is not inspiring.  While she may be a very smart and good person – her tactics are desperate and reckless.  If this is an example of Hillary under fire – this is not a keeper for the resume.  Further, her campaign’s distribution of Obama receiving a gift of Kenyan garb, is not unlike pictures of a long list of US Presidents and Politicians traveling the world, wearing headdresses, kimonos, robes etc…   If this is the experience that Hillary Clinton wants to share with the US electorate – it seems we’ve had nearly 8 years of that kind of disingenuous and nefarious negative rumor manufacturing.

When Hillary Clinton, unusually energized by the sound of her own voice, began mocking the Obama movement – mischaracterizing the freshman Senators message of hope, volunteerism and the importance of commitment by citizens – she may have pulled the plug on her own campaign hopes.

Clinton’s position that Obama is feeding the public a fairy-tale deadly dangerous.  Her explanation that she knows how bad the special interests have a hold on Washington seemed to be rather resigning in her reluctance to rock the boat.  We think that Hillary’s choice will have resounding negative effects, immediately.   Not the least of which is the alienation of centrists by her mocking of those moved to action by Obama’s inspirational words.  The Clinton camp’s use of Fox News’ description of ‘lofty rhetoric’ may come back to bite.  Her latest rebuke was hardly recognizable as coming from the promoter of “It Takes a Village.

This divisive and combative approach of attacking strengths, as described by the corporate press – may make good reading – but not a good strategy when you don’t have willing accomplices in Government and the Press.

Clinton Defeating Clinton

This past week’s Xerox comment, notwithstanding, it seems that Hillary Clinton is not getting the reactions she had hoped for when crying foul. Just days after accusing Obama of plagiarism for using a line offered by his campaign co-chair – Clinton cried foul in Ohio when the Obama campaign used Newsday’s words describing Clinton’s original support of NAFTA, asserting that she felt it was a ‘boon’ to the economy. Ohio, a State particularly hurt by NAFTA, is the scene of this skirmish.

Clinton has been vociferous in pointing out that it was Newsday that used the term ‘boon’ and that she never said it. Newsday has also added that they felt the Obama information suggests that it was Clinton’s choice of words, not Newsday’s. Baseline volleys aside, while claiming foul as to Obama’s tactics – Clinton responded with suggestions that Obama and George W. Bush are very much alike and delivered an ear splitting, grimace producing “Shame-on-you-Barack-Obama!”

Whether, this evoked ‘AttaGirls’ from Clinton campaign elite or not – The Almost Daily Binx feels very strongly that campaign combat is very revealing about the candidates. We also think that by using the obviously canned ‘Xerox’ comment the other night, coupled with this overreaction – many Ohioans sitting the fence are going to be offended by the panicky nature of Clinton’s rebuke and attack. Particularly in the wake of Fox News-Talker – Bill O’Reilly -and his casual and highly insensitive reference to ‘lynch party’ referencing Michelle Obama. O’Reilly may very well be an argument against human cloning, however, his astonishingly glib, dismissively insincere and highly aired apology may have also created a sympathetic electorate. The conditions of which are effortlessly made worse by Clinton’s intoning the dissonance of anger while delivering speeches.

Hillary Clinton closed the debate this past week on a high note -that appeared very sincere – Barack and Hillaryand followed it 2 days later with harsh and not carefully considered words. Perhaps, as many newsies reported, her debate closing comments seemed very much like the missing concession speech after the Wisconsin primary. Perhaps the pressure of coming in second in a 11 straight contests has caused some serious worry in the campaign. Needless to say, Hillary Clinton’s campaign has engineered a series of tactical missteps. If this latest barrage was designed to compensate for appearing too sensitive or conciliatory after the Texas debate – it was a terrible decision. Considering that Clinton has been very aggressive in negative TV ads and suggesting that Obama lacks experience just like GWB did – the “shame-on-you… ” plea could prove to be viewed as insulting to many Democrats.

The Almost Daily Binx predicts that Clinton may have very well defeated herself by pushing many off the fence into the welcoming arms of the Obama campaign because of her personal style and persona. And, Obama will emerge victorious in Ohio and Texas, not only because of the Obama enormous ground game of young volunteers, but because Hillary Clinton is using the tools of the past in a contest of the future. Her refusal to admit mistakes or bad decisions demonstrates a dramatic lack of humility. Her very aggressive tone does not serve her well. She has much more in common with the hubris afflicted POTUS than any innuendo she attempted to deliver regarding Obama.
